Life Choices
Learning for Life's Life Choices Character Program is an online game
that lets students run through real-life situations, deciding what to do and
then seeing what happens. Often, the choices they make have unexpected outcomes.
The game enables students to compare their perception of their own values against
the values demonstrated by the choices they make in the course of the game.
Players will find that, just as in real life, pressure from peers can come into
conflict with conscience. Situations described in Life Choices are intended
to relate to the real world young people are growing up in today. The point of the
game is to allow players to think through their alternatives and possible outcomes
before acting.
The Life Choices Character Program is designed as an adjunct to Learning
for Life's "Builders" program for seventh- and eight-grade students and reinforces
their values, skills, and perspectives.
